My name is Stefan Schottmueller and I live in Southern Germany near Switzerland. I build contemporary Jazz Guitars in tradition of the European craftsman.
The focus of my work is to build guitars for musicians. So it is a great pleasure and inspiration for me to work with Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Abercrombie, Lage Lund, Szymon Mika, Fabio Zeppetella, Umberto Fiorentino, Roberto Checetto, Tomas Sauter and Christian Eckert.
The Television is a guitar based on a famous American model the body is chambered (american alder inside, tops european maple) neck is American hard-maple, fretboard ebony scale length is 650 or 629 mm weight ca. 3,3 kg
Developed in cooperation with Kurt Rosenwinkel - the body has a block (maple), top is hancarved alpine spruce back and sides - european flamed maple, neck is american hardmaple, fretboard ebony, lower bout is 37,5 cm, sides are 4,5 cm. Scale length is 629 or 598 mm, weight is less then 3kg, color blonde and brown
Developed in cooperation with Lage Lund. it is a small archtop with short scale 598 mm, top is alpine spruce parallel bracing, back and sides european flamed maple, neck is american hardmaple , fretboard ebony, lower bout is 40,5 cm, sides are 5,6 cm, color blonde and brown
